The tension in the castle was practically radiating through our screens. After weeks of backstabbing, late-night scheming, and intensely uncomfortable roundtable confrontations, The Celebrity Traitors 2026 finally brought down the curtain on an incredible series.
If you missed the broadcast or just want to relive every nerve-wracking second of the firepit finale, here is the full breakdown of who won, how they pulled it off, and where that well-earned prize money is going.
The Champions: Who Took Home the Prize?
In a brilliant victory for trust over deception, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian ‘Bash’ Croft won The Celebrity Traitors 2026!
Against all odds, the two Faithfuls managed to survive every round of murder and banishment, standing shoulder-to-shoulder at the final firepit. By correctly identifying and eliminating the remaining Traitors, they secured the ultimate prize: £83,000, which will be split equally between their chosen charities.
How the Dramatic Finale Unfolded
The final episode started on a dark note. Actor Michael Sheen was murdered in the opening scenes, leaving just five players to walk into the castle for the final stretch: Romesh Ranganathan, Sebastian Croft, Maya Jama, King Kenny, and James Blunt.
Here is how the endgame played out step by step:
1. Maya Jama’s Banishment
The suspicions that had been brewing around Maya Jama finally boiled over at the final roundtable. After a tense debate, the group cast their votes, sending Maya packing and successfully eliminating one of the biggest Traitors in the game.
2. The Deadlock Over King Kenny
With four players remaining at the firepit, the tension reached a breaking point. A vote between King Kenny and singer James Blunt ended in a complete tie. In the second vote to break the deadlock, Romesh and Bash locked eyes, joined forces, and voted to banish King Kenny.
3. One Last Nervous Vote
Even with no Traitors left in the room, paranoia ran high. Romesh and Bash still had a lingering doubt about James Blunt. Out of pure self-preservation, they voted out James in the final banishment round. It was a tough move, but it guaranteed that only true Faithfuls were left standing.
Why Romesh & Bash’s Strategy Worked
Winning The Traitors as a Faithful is notoriously hard, but Romesh and Bash made it happen through a blend of loyalty and sharp tactical thinking:
- Unshakable Trust: While everyone around them was spiraling into paranoia, Romesh and Bash built an alliance rooted in genuine communication.
- Reading the Room: Bash admitted afterward that he tweaked his voting approach just minutes before the final firepit, a split-second pivot that kept them on the winning path.
- Playing for Something Bigger: Knowing that tens of thousands of pounds were headed to charity gave them the focus they needed to stay calm under pressure.
How This Compares to Previous Seasons
The Traitors franchise is famous for its unpredictable endings, but 2026 felt like a real turning point for the UK celebrity edition:
| Season | Winner(s) | Role | Outcome |
| Celebrity Traitors Season 1 | Alan Carr | Traitor | Deceived the group to steal the win |
| Celebrity Traitors Season 2 (2026) | Romesh Ranganathan & Sebastian Croft | Faithfuls | Outvoted the deceit and split the prize |
Final Thoughts
The 2026 finale gave us everything we love about the show: genuine suspense, heartbreak, and a deeply satisfying payoff. By keeping cool when the heat was on, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian ‘Bash’ Croft proved that honest team-ups can still win the day—even in a castle built on lies.
